T-shirt design for Paraguayan farmers’ alliance Tukã, specialising in traditionally harvested yerba mate. The concept was inspired by a quote of one of the farmers; “The exhalation of the yerba mate tree, it gives a different kind of hope for life” (Cantalicio, Tukã Farmer), in conjunction to the idea of lunar farming - with the waxing of the moon, the earth exhales. With the waning of the moon, the earth inhales.
Logo for a local wild swimming club.
Lettering of Devon in a retro film title inspired style. The background photograph I took on one of many walks around the countryside.

Logo family for short-film project Sown, a filmmakers collective who choose a select number of non-profits every year to tell their story totally free of charge.
The idea was to communicate the concept of taking a seed across the world to become ‘sown’; seen and known by an audience the non-profit would never normally have reach to, and hopefully influence them for good.
Personal project illustrating titles of favourite books/films.

Title lettering for short film ‘Stories of You and I’ by filmmaker John Davies. From his website:
“Narrated by Academy Award Nominee, Jonathan Pryce, 'Stories of You and I' is an open letter to the Earth, remembering a life of infatuation with nature around the British Isles. It is a touching, personal and emotional cry for environmental justice told through an intimate relationship with the natural world.”
I wanted to convey the feeling of a handwritten love letter which harmonises with the concept of the film. The lettering is scrawled and imperfect while being intentional and sincere, hopefully communicating the anguished emotion of the film.
It isn’t released yet but you can view the trailer here.
My first go at joining in the public project 36 Days Of Type.
Personal project exploring people illustration.
A personal commission for a close friend.
Part of a side project lettering titles of movies/novels which I love. Little Women (Greta Gerwig’s 2019 adaptation) became an immediate all time favourite when I first saw it in the cinema. To be honest I haven’t read the book, it’s this movie that captured me, but I included Louisa’s name since she’s the great story’s author. Here are just a couple of experiments.
Personal work.
Logos for the Christabel Balfour’s branch of workshops and weaving supplies. Christy is the most lovely human and an absolute boss at what she does. She’s inspired me for a long time with her dedication and mastery over her craft so it was a pleasure to work with her on these logos. I also did a set of weaving themed hand icons for her website.

Part of a personal project illustrating the titles of movies and novels I enjoy. As usual, Disney/Pixar delivered on an excellent story and animation in their movie Soul.
I worked with musician Roscoe Crawley on artwork for the digital release of his first EP, and later on an album cover. He wanted the second to look distinct from the first, but the theme of mountains representing how freedom feels continued through both. The concept of mountains reflected on the album cover was also to convey sound waves and portray the music itself.
Logos and branding for nonprofit organisation Nineveh Mission. They work in the Middle East to bring accessibility to the Bible to unreached communities. They defined their tone as hopeful and intrepid, so the visual style communicates brave boldness in the weight of the logos, approachable in the soft edges, and reflective of Middle Eastern architecture in the curves and negative shapes of the lettering. The warm colours convey a feel of travels in a desert and sandstone landscape.
A set of 3 maps for the non-profit organisation Nineveh Mission, which I also did the branding for. The countries they currently are working in to bring communities accessibility to the Bible are India, Iraq and Egypt.
Personal lettering explorations.
Logo for Westman, a family startup based out of a shipping container in the Copenhagen harbour. Setting out to curate, frame and sell art from Danish and Swedish photographers, they also dabble in bespoke custom lifestyle products like shelving, grills and lighting. The logo needed to reflect this array of trade and craft, conveying that feeling of hand selected, hand made goods, while look at home in it’s location among makers on the harbour.

I feel passionate about supporting local businesses and local economy and wanted to illustrate the many benefits buying locally can bring.

A collaboration with photographer/film-maker Samuel Glazebrook on his debut independent short surf film. He wanted to use illustration and hand lettering for all aspects to do with the film to give it a quirky, personal feel. This included the wording for the trailers, film title, captions throughout, credits and design of a promotional poster. We decided the look should be simple and imperfect, not too serious and fun. Watch the full film here.
